Russia's Climate Crisis

Ever wonder just how widespread climate change has become? From wildfires in the west coast of the United States and the Amazon rainforests; scientists  are now saying that Russia is losing an increasing amount of its Arctic coast each year. According to a geo-ecological scientist at Moscow State University, shoreline the size of central Moscow collapses into the sea each year. The most concerning part of this development is how barrels of fuel and chemicals are located on the shoreline. If they are positioned on unstable parts of land, they face the danger of spilling into the ocean. Alongside this, the permafrost in Russia is melting. It has been estimated to cost Russia $67 billion each year by 2050.
